Here are a couple of LED lighting kits from IKEA that are great for marquee lighting. I used the white as I can get 4 bartops out of one kit. They do have an RGB kit but not sure how to break it apart if you want to use it in more than one cab. A cheap controller from China would probably do the job if you want more than 1 cab.
These are from IKEA Canada.

Come with lots of fittings and wires and run on 12V dc 1 PS included per kit as well as metal mounts and screws.

Yeah, I looked at those myself in store. Too many wires, didn't seem bright enough. And honestly for the price and simplicity of a NovaMatrix kit from GGG, I couldn't justify the ikea kit.

Plus for around $20$30 shipped you can get 5m RGB led rolls with a basic controller off ebay.
Meh, I guess if you're in a pinch, want it right then, close to an ikea and don't want to mess with your own power supply then these ikea ones could be a good bet.

It all depends on how quickly you need something. 2 to 3 weeks from China, 2 weeks from the USA if Canada Post co-operates. Plus shipping and sometimes duty. Use all 4 strips if 1 is not bright enough and it is here when I pick it up. The wiring is simple, just plug and go or swap the transformer for a 12V disk plug. ;D Just offering a quick purchase alternate for Canadians.

Will be making a trip to Ikea thanks for the heads up. GGG is awesome servicewise but I got screwed on duty fees.

I agree that GGG has some of the best but for a quick fix a local product saves alot of money on shipping and duty.
