Title: Can't get WMV videos to show up in MaLa
Post by: bsellers100 on January 10, 2014, 05:56:38 pm
Ok, I would like to try out MaLa, and everything seems very straight forward so far.  I have run a test skin, I can get the snaps, marquees, game list, etc to show just fine, but I cannot get the stupid preview videos to show.  They are in WMV format, which the FAQs says should work.  I have a video box on the skin, and I have gone into the GUI tab and checked the video box.  I have tried out the videos in windows media player, and I have also tried them in Mala in the screensaver setup, so I know they work and that Mala can play them.  I have tried this in both the new 1.82 as well as the stable 1.74.  Any clues as to what I might be doing wrong?

Probably not the problem, but you did put the path to your wmv files in the Mala configuration, correct? Which codec are you using?

yes, I did put in the right path for both MAME and my GBA emulator as well, neither one will work.  I haven't added any codecs since the wmv play in windows media center, as well as Mala's own screensaver.
