Title: 'Could not find a video mode that meets your specs' Error Message
Post by: lettuce on January 08, 2014, 06:02:46 pm
Im getting the, 'could not find a video mode that meets your specs' error message and all games are being displayed in stretched mode on my LCD TV, i do have 'lcd' set in the monitor mode line in the ini file also which i though this error message was usually related to....but i guess not in this case?.

Any ideas why im getting this error message in dos when i launch a game and why the display is in 16:9 and not 4:3, have also noticed if i have either triple buffer or waitvsync enabled the game runs about 40% speed

Hmm has the command for creating a log file changed, as

mame romname -v -md 4 >romname.txt

doesnt appear to work anymore?

Yeah this happened several versions ago. The -md 4 part is longer required.
