Title: How to exit VisualBoyAdvance without keyboard?

As the subject says I am trying to exit visual boy advance without the keyboard. I am in the last set up process for my bartop as far as software and this is really starting to bug me. All of my emus see the joypad by itself so I have not needed joytokey so if there is a way to do this without joytokey please inform me I'd rather not put another program in my set up if I can help it. I am using the latest version of MALA and I am using visualboyadvance-m.

Thanks to all of the comments. ::) Yes it is easier to just use joytokey for just the esc button, thought if you used it for one button it needed all the buttons to be programmed to it.
