OK, so I check mame.dk and see that the changed ROMs section has, in addition to the usual few games, every single freakin' NeoGeo game. Now I totalled it up and that's a good 1.8GB of downloading, and since mame.dk's ROMs are gone I have no chance of knowing if the ROMs I download are right until it's too late. Now what I wanna know is WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? Did they totally re-do the neogeo core so that we need to download all new dumps? Or did they just change the names of the roms or something that I can fix myself?! If mame.dk were still up I wouldn't really care because at least I could queue up and download them but now that it's gonna take some real detective work to find some working updated ROMs, I wanna know what's up.

Apparently changed the rom names to reflect the actual name printed on the chips.

OK so it's the chip's ROM names and not the zip files? At least I can fix that by hand with some research. Will save me a lot of unecesary downloading. I wish mame.net would explain these kinda things. All they say is "rebuilt core" or stuff like that. I damn near died when I saw every NeoGeo game as being revised. Scary stuff!

What's the big deal if Clrmame will rename them all for you??

Yea i ran romcenter on my .58 roms and I only had 3 out of the fullset that wouldn't upgrade correctly to .59. And none of those were the neo geo roms. To get the fullset to .59 I have to download 48 files I don't have.
