Hi all, First of all i wish all a great new year! and including health wealth and happiness!
I have been looking for a jukebox for a long time and finally decided to just do it, i have no previous knowledge of jukeboxes but i am an amateur musician and hi fi lover
I bought my first Jukebox an AMI Ti2 Woodbridge 2 weeks ago. it is not working and has a few problems and i am hoping that someone can assist me
I do have the manual
The record player unit is working, there is output from the needle cartridge, the 50 watt R-4359A amplifier is working.
The pre amp and credit unit are not working, if i understand the manual correctly then the pre amp (R4372) should get its power form the power amp it should be on the pins 8 and 9 of the connection socket but i get no reading on my multi meter. the actual pre amp looks in good shape.
The credit unit keeps on blowing the fuse and i must be honest i only want to get the sound working first and then i will sort out the credit unit.
I am not a qualified electrician but can use a multi meter and soldering iron, as soon as i get the jukebox working i will strip it and restore it as good as i can, are there any books on jukebox restoration? I checked on the internet without any great success.
There was a remote cable connected to the jukebox but the cable came of and the remote unit is not a AMI unit, it is a NSM, I would like to use it in the future but at the moment the unit is not connected but the cable is connected to the jukebox
All in all i am already a jukebox junkie after only a few weeks
i have leave until the 6th of Jan and it would be fantastic if someone could get back to be ASAP.
Regards James

if your blowning the credit fuse
u have a problem with the coin grinder
it sits below the coin mech
take coin asambley out
make sure all is clean and working good, this will include the grinder.
if all is good? then look for a dead short
make sure the fuse is of the same EXACT size
if it was replaced before, make sure the old 1 that has blowen was the CORRECT SIZE,if not look down stream at the ccc for damage

Hi James,
Forget the NSM control, you need a Rowe Am 10k log control, single or dual dependant on the number etched into the pcb side of the pre-amplifier board.
If you get back to me with the board number I will let you know which is required.

Hi Ed,
i am still concentrating on the sound due to lack of time. as soon as i have a look at the credit unit i will give feedback.
Hi Alan,
Thanks for the response! the NSM remote poti is a dual 10k the one at the back plate is also a dual but in my manual it calls for a single poti i ran out of time this week end but i will send you the board number next week end
Thanks you guys
