So I own some ServoStiks (actually real JLFs with my ServoStik's restrictor plate an servo installed on them) and PA's hollow shafts and 35mm balltops.
My question is what can be done to make them feel more like the old Killer Instinct or Street Fighter II sticks?
Currently they feel kind of "dainty", but I don't know what to replace; the springs, or switches themselves?
I don't know what weight the springs should be for the desired outcome? Or what weighted micro-switches I should use?
I know that modifying them might wear them out faster, that's ok.
I've also seen "oversized actuators", and imagine that would engage the switch earlier, is this desirable?
I also dislike playing Pac-Man with them in 4-way mode as they are now, would any changes to make them more like the fight sticks I used to use, make them better or worse for playing Pac-Man?
I hope someone here had the same desire and can offer some insight.

First off, are you sure they aren't JLWs?
If you've managed to graft a servostick restrictor and servo on JLFs, I'd like to see pics.
If they are JLF's, paradise arcade shop sells springs in various strengths.
IMO, the 6lb ones feel like the old beat 'em up sticks, but it may be a bit too heavy.
Order a selection ranging from 3-6lb and compare them.
Lube the crap out of everything (with super lube) or else they'll feel "notchy", like they move easily at first then require more force to get over a hump.
With the plastic bat tops and stiffer springs, they'll feel more like Happ/IL, but smaller.
Either way, the springs are what you want to change to get rid of the "dainty" feel (I used the same word to describe my JLFs when I first got them).
Changing switches is more about getting rid of noise.
If they are the JLW's, I think Ultimarc offers a stiffer spring (for their rebranded JLW), but not a variety of weights.
Here are my opinions on the stuff I've tried with JLFs:

Thanks that link was great. (I also didn't know PA had a wiki)
You are right my sticks are JLW's, do you know if the JLF springs work on my JLWs? They also have a "Heavy Touch Microswitch" would that help achieve my goal?
I remember now that I bought hollow JLW shafts only to find out that the ServoStiks were not really JLWs, so I purchased a set of real JLWs and transplanted the restrictor plate and servo just to run the hollow shafts.
Don't judge my wiring, it works, and isn't that all that really matters? :)
