Title: Must-have games/Your Top 10
Post by: s_busby_uk on December 23, 2013, 09:00:50 pm
Not sure if this has been done, but I thought it might be a good idea for member of the forum to post their top 10 games that they play on their cabinets so that people looking to discover games they've not played before have a bit more of a guideline. MAME has a potentially daunting library and it's not all great. I'd personally like to end up with a smallish collection of good games on my cabinet rather than a large collection of mostly bad ones.

These can be obvious ones like DoDonPachi and Pacman, or more obscure ones you just think people should find out about.

You might want to replace Street Fighter II Championship Edition with Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting.  Gameplay in the former is quite slow.

Having grown up playing the Original Street Fight II game, I would argue that Hyper is too fast.  ;)

I was there playing it in 1991 with everyone else but years later, after finding MAME and getting into Hyper Fighting, I can't go back.  Championship Edition feels like a flow of molasses now.
