Title: AdvanceMame and MetalSlug3 Video Problems

Just wondering if anyone else can test MetalSlug3 and Advancemame (latest).  When mine loads I get all the colors messed up, almost looks negitive color screen.  Same roms works great with dos mame .58

Metal Slug 3 works fine with my setup and the latest AdvanceMAME.  You might want to post your problem here: http://www.geocrawler.com/lists/3/SourceForge/14936/0/
You will probably get ignored just the same there,(especially if you don't share more info like: what video card or what kind of monitor or the contents of your advmame.rc file) But if you look through past messages in THAT forum, you'll be more likely to find out why you are having trouble. Hope this helps..

Had the same problem myself, you are probably set to use 32bpp, I corrected this by seting it back to 16bpp or on AUTO.

If you check, you probably have the same symptoms in Metal Slug 2, but not in other versions of Metal Slug...

Let us know if this was the problem!

BTW This is not only related to AdvanceMame, this is a problem in all flavours of Mame!

More info on my setup: ATI Rage Pro 128 agp card.  P3-900Mhz  

Problem is found in : Metal Slug2,3 and Neo Turfmasters.

These programs run fine with dos mame (default settings)

In Advancemame I am using generate.
The mode it picks for the games is: 304x228x15.  I tried changing the depth to 16 since it is already on auto. I tried rgb yes / no.  Still same issues.  

Note: Metal Slug X works fine.

Still puzzled.  - Oh last thing is I use a wg 1465 arcade monitor via jpac.

This issue was solved using AdvanceMAME v0.59.0
