Title: A whole new type of Mame cabinet!
Post by: paigeoliver on November 26, 2003, 02:56:18 am
I recently bought a nonworking EM Hawaii bingo pinball for $25.

I just realized that if I can't fix it, then the cabinet has some definite possibilities in the video area.

Both the playfield box and the backbox are large enough to take a 25" monitor (vertically on the playfield of course).  ;D

Too bad every single video pinball type game in Mame is broken in one way or another.  :'( All of them seem to have graphics layer priority issues.

There you go, the thing is larger than the photo suggests. The game next to it is a Sprint 2, which is an oversized game in the first place, and the backbox alone on the Hawaii is darn near as deep as an upright cabinet.

Not sure if you can notice how far forward the translite is on that game in relation to the Sprint 2 next to it, but the game is all the way against the wall and the backbox is still deeper than the Sprint 2 next to it.

There were also a pair of empty pinball bodies at the last auction (A Funhouse and an F-14 Tomcat that sold for like $5, had I thought of that idea SATURDAY, then I would have snagged them).
