I have a target toss pro bags. I was wondering if it would be possible to swap the hard drive with one that has golden tee on it. If it is, what version of gt and or what else would I need to do it?
-
alot
the game pid # board will differ
that is your very first of alot of hurdels
the black hawk was never used in pre 2013 golden tee live
if u are talking about an eailer verison :maybe:.,but not to the golden tee live

I was hoping you would chime in ed. I have the mb that I have seen listed on ebay that the seller describes as being used for golden golden tee. It dont matter which version of gt it is to me. As long as it works.
-
if u have the mb.? for which machine do u know ?
as the blackhawk is a stand alone putter
the older pre 2012-13's used a green board and some times a red board olny
that was all
it housed the seruirty chip/modem/video-card/jama interface/hard drive/cd-rom interfaces,if it is a stand alone putter >black< hence the term black hawk
u will need the pid card ..it is part of the i/o card
the pid carrys the game unquie id..and 90% of the control-able interfaces

Right now I have 2 computers, one running silver strike bowling and the other is target toss pro bags. I got both systems in cabs complete, they were just missing the monitors. They both work, I just dont care for the bag toss. When I got it I was hoping I could swap the drive and whatever else I needed to run gt.
-
is that the wiiware verison ?
ed
-
wiiware? No
-
pleae do a pic of the coumpter

Sorry, been busy with work and x-mas

:bump
-
yes u could run pga golf with it
but as far as gt goes ? not unless u had the pid board for gt
as they differ from game to game
older gts used a decacated board green or red
personaly i would go pga golf
there is alot more u can do with it
ed
-
That works for me ed thanks. How would I go about doing that? Thanks for the info!
-
there is 2 threads on pga golf
1=mine,it is old and very tech, if u get in trouble that is the answer thread
2=stpcore's it is newer and a sister thread, explains a bit more detail as to the hardware needed, mostly a dongle and i/o interface is about all u need,+the o/s for the game
which stpcore and shawn up-loaded to a ftp site for u ppl
with the hardware in hand i can perty much walk u through it,if need be
ed

Why not throw a Jpac and computer in there and make it a multi golf game?
-
DeLuSioNal29
i agree with u
but i think the op wants to stick with the blackhawk box
if not a normal cpu and a wack of other golf games will do the trick just as well
ed
-
Any particularly cabinet friendly golf games out there? I've heard Masters 2000 but would like something slightly newer....
-
hi pjb
the best is tigerwoods
which of course u can get a hacked verison
from there u can go into pga and turn tiger woods on
i do believe he is 27th in the list, which has no arker file for it
ed
-
Which version of Tiger Woods?
-
right up to his melt down
2012 i think
i would need to chk the file to be honest,
as i have not visted pga golf for some time now
ed
-
pbj
my player files date is 04
but i have seen newer,i will dig deeper if u want ?
ed
-
No need, I just need something that looks pretty and plays well with a trackball. So which version of which game should I buy? Thanks.
-
I was going to try to use the blackhack cause I had it. Might as well use it. I, like pbj, want something that looks pretty. If nothing else, I will run a pc with mame to play the older GT games. Anyway to run windows on that blackhawk Ed?
-
i do not know if it will run 7 but it will take xp for sure
ed
-
i relooked at your pic's
yes to xp no to 7
reason's
1=not enough ram..simple right ???
2=single core cpu..it is gen 1
3=so it is 16 bit-x-2 to make it 32 bit
not true 32 bit..7 kinda likes 64 bit best, will even take dual core 32 bit and not biatch to much,as it will load up "with proper ram" and just call it 32 bit
u could ram the hell out of that 1,and it would not make a no nomer to 7...
sorry to have to report this to you..but facts are facts

Thanks Ed! Tried to install xp. Tried a dvd drive with ide and sata. I keep getting a error saying cant find bootable device. Got into the bios, all that was showing up was the hard drive. With no drive's connected, I still get a it boot screen. There was a jumper on the mb. Tried changing it. All it did was make all the fans run faster and nothing would show on the screen.
-
yes i expected that, and should have explained to u it is hard coded into the bios chip..
my bawd there..
now u have a few way's around this
forget the sata ports there usless for now
take a hard drive and load it with xp fat32 or ntfs which ever u like
then place it in the blackhawk putter
afer a bit of biacthing it should bark to life
and want a wack of drivers, make sure u have the cd drive >not dvd< hooked up as slave on ide0,tell it to go get the driver's it want's from it
now i hope u have xp-sp3?,if so u are gold,on that disk it should pick up your on-board lan
and sata's etc,let it do it's thing,then before u shut it down for it's re-boot >nessary< make
sure the lan is hooked up
then let it do it's thing
upon re-boot it should be xp
with lan and biaching it want's up-dates
again, coustom and pick what u want
ed
-
you know if u want ?
we should move this to >Arcade Miscellaneous<
as i have a blackhawk at the warehouse
same gen as your's
gen1
we can get into detail alot better that way.
as i can pick it up and bring to my home shop and play along
what u think ?

Sure Ed, that would be great!
