Classic games turned into "mini games".

Yeah it's interesting... not 15 dollars interesting, but interesting none the less.  I think I would pick it up if it were 5 bucks or if some of the full games were included.

Either way it's nice to see Nintendo trying new, experimental, things with their old IPs.  Hopefully they'll have a holiday sale and I'll pick it up.

Oh in other news I noticed that club Nintendo is FINALLY allowing you to buy Wii U digital games with coins, so you could probably pick up a vc game for free for every two games you buy.  Select games of course, but it's better than what other companies give you, which is jack and squat.

Also coming soon is Hyrule Warriors, which is basically dynasty warriors with link.  I'm kind of "meh" about this one because DW has been ran into the ground, but who knows, it could turn out to be fun.

Yeah you know during the famicom 30th anniversary they were offering some of the VC games for 30 cents and from what I heard they sold an ungodly amount of them.  You'd think that would have clued Nintendo into the fact that if they priced their digital stuff in the "ipad/android" range, around 1-2 dollars, that they'd sell a lot more units.

Not that I'm saying they should price this "new" game that low, but they are still trying to sell 30 year old NES games for 8 bucks.

(500,000 x $15) > (3,700,000 * $2)

Note that column B is likely assuming 90% of their use base buys it, Column A is 12%.

12% is being very generous.
