I got some small stereo speakers from someone who was throwing them out. They work, and are 4" in diameter. I was wondering if I could hack them for use in my cab (hack them to PC speakers?). If so, how would I go about doing this?
It says on the back of each:
3 Ohms, Max 9W

Umm, what exactly do you need to know? Open up a set of PC speakers and look at the insides, and then you will be wondering why you were asking on the boards.

Maybe, I'm concerned that they are 3 ohms, most amps require either 4 or 8 ohms, and going with anything other than the rated could cause problems. Less is the bigger problem as you can ruin you amplifyer.
Otherwise, what you really need to do it match specs. Get an amplfyer that can drive 3 ohms to 9 watts and you can use them. Remember there is a + and - terminal on the speakers, if you want stereo you need to get that right, + to the + on the amp, - to the - on the amp. (some speakers it is a problem to hook up backwards, but likely not these. Even still make sure you get it right as a general habit. Stereo messes this up, but if you have to ask, you don't have the background to understand the answer)
Personally I'd choose the amp first, and work from there, you can buy new speakers for fairly cheap, so why make some that are almost right work? Just beware that if you want good sound the box you put the speakers is in at least as important as how expensive the speaker is. For games just slape them in, you won't notice sound problems. For juke box you can spend a long time just learning speaker design.
