Hi guys
I asking for help with configuration my tv (Trilux TAP2511 TSP-X)
my card Radeon HD 4350, installed crt drivers
my problems:
- missing resolution 384x224 (for cps 1/2/3 games)
- NeoGeo res 320x224 seems to be flat (black bars on top and bottom)
- many other resolutions i need to tweak with arcadeOSD
I would like to find optimal settings with grovymame
-
1. add it if it's missing. I wonder why it's missing though. Is it missing in Arcade OSD, too?
2. Neo Geo always has black bars. That's not a GM problem.
3. Well... you shouldn't need to. I never had to tweak anything in arcade OSD. I created my own monitor preset, the rest is a matter of setting vertical size with the pot.
What kind of tv is this?

can you guide me how to add 384x224 resolution ?
it isnt available in ArcadeOSD
what about monitor (in my case TV) preset, where to start ?
there is what i do:
1. installed drivers
2. in vmaker ini i setup directory with mame 151
-monitor type CUSTOM, ratio 4:3
3. run vmaker and reset
what next ?

If you're using GM you don't need 320x224, 384x224, etc. Instead, 320x240, 384x240 are used, achieving the *exact* same result. Producing x224p resolutions for GM is a waste of space. This is a very old topic. If you still need x224p resolutions for whatever reason, edit the YresMin_XML value in vmmaker.ini.

in 384x240 in cps2 games like sssf2
when characters jump i have horizontal lines
its difficuly to capture on screen
in d3d mode picture fits whole screen (i dont like black bars)
but few horizontal lines apears something like streaching image
in ddraw mode: no problem with lines, but black bars on top and bottom of screen
what am i dooing wrong ?
how to find correct monitor (tv) preset, where to start

Hi djcasey,
I'm afraid you're missing the concept here.
224p = black bars (whatever ddraw, d3d...)
