Title: Autoswitching ms9 woes
Post by: brad808 on December 11, 2013, 07:51:48 pm
So I have a versus city cabinet with 2 ms929's in it. I have it hooked up through a jpac and during boot I hear a ton of clicking until it hits windows. I'm guessing the monitors are autoswitching between 15k and 24k and having a hard time getting a lock so they keep bouncing back and forth. I'm looking for ideas on how to stop this from happening.

So far I've come up with disabling the relay on the chassis somehow (rather not do this just because It'll be a pain to undo should I throw in a jamma game thats 24khz). Or I've also thought about using a 12v delay relay to the power supply to stop the monitors from turning on for a few seconds after the computer.

Any other ideas?

It seems like delaying the turning on of the monitors is your best bet.

You can use a time control relay or maybe just simply put in manual switches so you can power the monitors on when you feel is safe.
