Title: midway coin door parts question
Post by: mmmPeanutButter on November 25, 2003, 09:51:35 am
I was just wondering how hard it would be to source the metal pieces where the coin goes in.

I think there are (at least) 2 different types - I'd be looking for the one like in the picture (not the one with the two rivits).

Also, were is a good place to get parts in general for the midway coin doors??

Thanks.
Jonathan

Regretably, an old broken Midway door.

Happ Controls was the final manufacturer of the Midway coin door. It was called two different names in the Happ catalog: "Flat Door-Double Entry Door" and "Ms. Pacman Door". The last time this door was in the Happ catalog was 1994. The complete coin door was part number 40-0010-00 and sold for $79.00. The original metal entry plate was changed around 1982 or 1983 to a plastic part because of static electricity problems reseting the Ms. Pacman and Pacman video games. Happ shows this plastic entry as part number 42-0061-00. Don't know if any of these parts are still available from Happ, but I think some parts are.
