Title: HLSL in hyperspin doesn't work?
Post by: Tzakiel on December 05, 2013, 12:04:53 am
I have hyperspin set up on my desktop and noticed something weird... I have HLSL effects set up, and when I use command line or mame.exe to launch roms, the HLSL applies and looks great. But when I launch the same roms from Hyperspin, HLSL is off/ignored.  Wouldn't it just use the ini settings like it should?  Any ideas what causes this?  It's definitely pointing to the same mame.exe and folder.

Solved this: I had to edit the mame module in hyperlaunchHQ and change the hlsl line from false to true. It needs to be edited in notepad using the icon for editing module.

EDIT: I've been told a better way is to click edit global module settings which is a tiny icon under the modules tab, and edit the HLSL dropdown for MAME.  Had trouble finding that but it's there.

Or just launch MAME directly without HyperLaunch...
