Hello,
Im trying to add 2 videos to my layout. The problem I am having is the properties box to specify the path for the video only shows for 1 of the video objects, specifically vidoe2/layout. Im using the latest version of mala v.174.
Thanks in advance.

IIRC, Video window 2 doesn't change with the game. It's the same video playing all the time, so the path is set in the layout editor like the background pic is.
Video Window 1 changes with the game and is set up the same way as the pics. The path to it is specified in Mala options, not in the layout editor.

So, your saying that video window 1 works like the snaps? Can it be defined as a "default" video or .gif if no video/.gif exists for the selected game?

Not that I'm aware of. Even if it could be, it would probably restart every time you switched the highlighted game in the list.

Ok, so I have the snaps defined in MaLa options as c:\MaLa\MaLa174\Customs\Snaps.... where do I define the video path for video 1? Currently in my mala.ini it is configured as c:\mala\mala174\customs\vids\gif.gif which is under the [Mame] header.

Start Mala, right click anywhere on it and select Mala Options, then click on the MAME Config tab, then Pictures and Videos tab under it.
Just like in the link I posted above.

My apologies, I didn't see the link you posted in your first response. I will try this when I get home tonight. And thanks for your help thus far.

Ok, so I tried what you said and it is working... not how I want it to but I now have two videos displaying. I appreciate all your help.
