Hi everyone,
I am trying to get my keywiz to work. When I use the software to upload the profile, this happens. See video: http://youtu.be/zghC4TttAHA (http://youtu.be/zghC4TttAHA)
It will continue to do this forever until I exit out of the program.
You can see that it quickly displays a message. The message says: Connection Attempt # 1
Any ideas why this is happening?
My computer is a DELL and the motherboard doesn't have a PS2 socket so I bought an add on card. Is it possibly because I am running the Keywiz through this???: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Serial-Port-PS2-Add-In-Card-T4444-Y9001-G504C-with-Cable-N3563-/301023221766?pt=UK_Computing_Case_Accessories_Tool_Kits&hash=item461661d806&_uhb=1 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Serial-Port-PS2-Add-In-Card-T4444-Y9001-G504C-with-Cable-N3563-/301023221766?pt=UK_Computing_Case_Accessories_Tool_Kits&hash=item461661d806&_uhb=1)

It could be because of the add-on card, but it is more likely something to do with other software on your system pulling focus from the application. Also, make sure you are using the latest version of the software. It should not continue to do this forever, but should stop after 5 unsuccessful attempts. This makes me wonder if you are using the latest version. I'm not sure which OS version you are using, but you can try the Win7 version of the uploader software to see if it's any better on your system.
Also, if you have special Dell keyboard drivers installed, these may be interfering with things. Make sure you have the standard US 101-key Keyboard drivers installed to make sure the system is sending back the correct responses to the software. Dell's software and hardware seem to be more prone to causing these types of issues.

Thanks for you reply Randy...
Here is what I have done:
I tried the Win 7 software but it obviously wouldn't run (because I am running Win XP with SP3)
I then tried the latest software for XP (from GGG) and I had the same result as the youtube video I posted.
I had a look at the driver and I think it is the right one. Have a look at the screenshot I have attached.
The software definitely tries to upload more than five times. I didn't count how many, but when I came back to the computer (about half hr later) there was an error message. I have attached a screenshot of this
Not sure what else to do??

Ok...I have some updates (but still no solution)
So I tried the Keywiz on another computer and it works fine - the software uploads the profile in about 3 seconds. This is an old Compaq computer.
I decided to take the driver from this computer (Compaq PS2 Keyboard Driver) and use it on the Dell. I was able to do this, but the Keywiz software still does the same thing (as the youtube video)

Like I indicated earlier, some Dell systems (not all) are non-standard enough in the way they deal with the keyboard to cause issues with some hardware and software. I've even seen complaints about regular keyboard issues with some of them. It could be the BIOS, the interface chipsets they used, or both. If they don't allow uninterrupted two way communication with the PS/2 port, the software can't do what it was designed to do.

Ok, thanks Randy.
Any other suggestions I could try? E.g updating the BIOS etc?

If the issue is specifically related to the chipset, then it probably won't help. But it can't hurt to try.
But your KeyWiz will still work properly on this system. You just need to take the most common approach of modifying the input configuration of your games to suit the way you have the controls connected to the interface.
