Title: WTB: coin door (no mech OK)
Post by: papaschtroumpf on November 24, 2003, 08:55:02 am
My cab currently has a slot in the front to accept tokens, and an optical switch to detect the tokens. While it works fine, it doesn't look authentic so I'd like to dress up the cab with a coin door (or at least the face plate from a coin door).
Because my cab is narrow I'd rather use an over/under style like the picture attached, although I would consider other styles (send pic + measurements). Single coin slot is fine.
Since this is just for show I don't care if the mechs are present. I just want the face plate and coin reject button to be in decent condition (I don't mind a bit of sanding and painting, or rewiring of the button light)
I would love to have the coin catcher that fits the door, but it's not a requirement.
Oh, and did I mention I want it cheap?

This style of door would be exactly what I'm looking for: (but not willing to buy it new from Happ)

I have a brand new one that looks like this, but without the bill validator.  There is a blank plate where the validator would go.  I could sell it you for $50, shipping included.  No coin mech, but coin bucket included.
