Hi there,
I'm looking at some Sanwa JLF cherry switch mod joysticks on Paradise Arcade Shop to replace some 8-way Wicos in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Do you guys think this stick would be a good replacement? It seems like they're the only brand that offers purple ball tops, and I want this control panel to be as accurate as possible. I've only had experience using HAPP parts in the past. I've read a lot of stuff about how sensitive the Sanwas are, but for a beat-em-up like TMNT, do you think they'll be alright? I only intend to play games similar to TMNT in this cabinet (primarily Turtles in Time and The Simpsons).
Thanks for your time!

The JLFs are smaller and have a much, much lighter spring. I don't think how light the spring is can be expressed. You just have to experience it.
Take the spring out of a pen, hold it at the bottom, and push it over at the top. It's kinda like that. :lol
I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be happy with them using the original springs.
IMO, the 6lb springs that paradise sells make it feel like a beat 'em up stick, but you may want to order a set of the 4lb springs too in case the 6lb ones are too heavy for you.
Personally, I wouldn't fork over the money for 4 JLFs for a beat 'em up cab.
The ball tops will work on cheaper sticks like the zippy.

I haven't used those though, so can't comment on the feel.

If you need ball tops, I would probably go Zippyy, you just don't need the precision of a JLF for TMNT
However, if you are just looking for a joystick, for the quality and feel, the IL sticks are really your best choice
