Title: FS: Capcom CPS2 Games *LOWER PRICES*TESTED WORKING* [Salt Lake City, UT, USA]
Post by: benll64 on November 20, 2013, 12:24:12 am
Post updated again with some lower prices, see below:

I have several Capcom CPS2 (system 2) arcade game boards for sale, as follows. All have both the "A" (motherboard) and "B" (game ROMs) boards, except where noted. All boards are original - no bootlegs.  Cases are in decent shape, although I'm not certain how their cosmetic condition matters much, since they'll be inside a cabinet where no one sees them. Please see photo links below.

Darkstalkers $200 $120 Blue (US/Europe)                                           https://db.tt/2U2IFa4z (https://db.tt/2U2IFa4z)  https://db.tt/3lfZEP4B (https://db.tt/3lfZEP4B)
X-Men: Children of the Atom "Phoenix" Edition $250 $100 Blue (US/Europe)               https://db.tt/O1ttFsXA (https://db.tt/O1ttFsXA)   https://db.tt/ITIm3pU6 (https://db.tt/ITIm3pU6)

NOTE: The following currently have bids on eBay in the amounts shown. Still for sale, but you'll need to go through eBay directly at this point.
Street Fighter Alpha 3 $250 $80 Blue (US/Europe)                             https://db.tt/ghwaTXWy (https://db.tt/ghwaTXWy)   https://db.tt/9KK0Ae7X (https://db.tt/9KK0Ae7X)
Street Fighter Alpha 3 $150 $60 Blue (US/Europe) - "B" Board ONLY  https://db.tt/iXBDpnjk (https://db.tt/iXBDpnjk)   https://db.tt/VoCdE0rf (https://db.tt/VoCdE0rf)
Street Fighter Zero $200 $80 Gray (Asia)                                           https://db.tt/72ellWSO (https://db.tt/72ellWSO)  https://db.tt/Jn3KkUY7 (https://db.tt/Jn3KkUY7)

Prices are semi-firm; best offers considered.

UPDATE: I took these to a local arcade and got them tested out on a functional CPS2 rig. All of them work perfectly, and I found out that the X-Men board is a "Phoenixed" edition.

I don't have any way to test these, but I just got them from an operator who said they were working. Therefore, these are sold AS-IS. If they're working, great. If they're not, you'll have to repair them. To help with the fact that these are untested - I'll give all buyers 3 days from date of delivery to test these out. If you can't make it work, I'll gladly refund your money within that time, but I'll ask that you pay return shipping. Please be sure you have a working JAMMA rig or a test bench or something to try it out with.

Shipping will be the cheapest possible option, but these are fairly large and a little heavy. I'm guessing $10-$20 for shipping, depending on your location.

If interested, please PM with a ZIP code for a better shipping quote.

Can we get some pictures of the cases and the boards inside. Because I have to say your prices are on the high side, especially without verifying A). Working Status, B). Original or Bootlegs (boots are not aloud to be sold in a lot of places), C. Phoenixed, or Suicide Battery (last changed?). Let alone the condition of the Cases. I understand they come with the A-Boards, but unless they're working originals with mint cases, for some of these, you might want to adjust your prices.
You'll also be holding onto that grey board for a while. Grey Asian boards aren't really that popular and people usually have to sell 'em cheap to get rid of them. And you're double screwed with it being a Zero. :(
Btw, A-boards usually yield between $40-60 depending on condition.

Here, check out this price guide that was put together by the community --discussion and spreadsheet:
http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=187906 (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=187906)

Some of these are right on the money, the others are disputed and discussed in the thread.

Not trying to price-police, just trying to educate, and help get boards into collector's hands.
If you're quoting eBay prices then I suggest selling them on eBay. There are many collectors here as well as MAME builders, so it'll be hard to pull a fast-one.

Thanks for the info, very helpful.

I'm new to these CPS2 boards and couldn't find very much beyond eBay for information.

Original post updated to reflect this info.

Anyone interested, please PM me. Thanks.

Hi again Malenko,

Looks like your ZIP code is missing a digit - can you give me the 5th digit, and then I can get back to you with a shipping quote?

Thanks for your interest - I'm holding these for you.

I don't know if you've re-checked my original post, but I took all these boards to my local arcade and they tested them out for me. They all work perfectly.

The X-Men is a "Phoenix" Edition, by the way - hence the higher price even though it's just the "B" board.

Malenko is right, Phoenixed editions are usually cheaper than originals because of the collector's market.
Except for SSF2:Turbo, which seems to be generally high-priced across the board...

Now you can start checking date before posting.
You meant the date on this post? I saw it but nothing had been updated that items were sold. I've responded to really old posts that nobody had responded to and got responses on boards still being available.

^Noted, but i'm not very good with notes they tend to get forgotten. Life will continue on.... and if I'm looking for something then I will ask. I'm not hurting anyone. It's not that serious, if you've sold your items then update and say so or close out the post. Simple, you all have a great night. It went from me asking a simple question to people talking to me as if I was dumb. Please don't take me being new to THIS forum as being new to forums in general.

I'd give it more of a B-, high C+. He failed to mention that it IS dumb to expect a sales post from 4 years ago for CPS2 boards at those prices to be around still. If you're new to arcade pcb collecting, then be aware that CPS2 is regularly sought after and prices have gone up from 4 years ago. If you're not new to it, then you should know better.
