Really sorry about this, but I'll be honest, I've been reading posts over the last couple of days and keep coming up with different answers to a simple question. Windows 7 or XP? 32 or 64 Bit?
Here's my situation:
- MSI K9MM-V Motherboard
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ (2.9 Ghz)
- 2 GB RAM (Motherboard can't handle more than 2 or I'd go more)
- Geforce 6600 GT (AGP), with TV/Component Cable Out
- 60 GB SSD
- 27" Sony CRT TV with Component input
I'm hoping to use Hyperspin as my front end and thinking I need to use soft15khz and powerstrip to handle the multiple resolutions to the monitor. From what I gather, Hyperspin works a bit better on Win 7, soft15/powerstrip Win XP. Also a bit concerned with the 2 GB RAM limit. I was hoping to keep using the gear I already had, but I'd be willing to upgrade the motherboard if I could find one that support AGP cards and has more memory capacity.
So, any thoughts?

With 64bit os you can run mame64' It helps run those 3d games. But with that setup, idk if you will be able to run them anyways. Still go with 64
