Title: Mounting speakers - Decase or keep whole?
Post by: Zrooney on November 08, 2013, 08:36:17 pm
So i decided not to decase my monitor (unless there are any befits by decasing it,) but I am going to be putting in the speakers tomorrow.

The speakers are this model: It is just 2 small speakers with a medium sized base unit.

I said to decase the speakers because it would be easier to mount them in the shelf, as well as less solid things for the speakers to go through (removes the plastic in the front of the speakers). Is there any benefit to mounting speakers in their original casing? Because it seems to me that it would be easier to decase them and then mount them.

Any input is, as always, greatly appreciated!

Those little speakers probably need their enclosures to sound right.
