I'm running GroovyMAME 0.149 and CRT Emudriver 1.2. When I try to run vmmaker.exe, it finds Emudriver but then just says it can't create the XML file. I end up with one that's 0 kb. I think this might be why I'm having video issues. Any thoughts? Sorry if that's not enough info, I can post whatever. Thanks!

Here's my mame and vmmaker .ini files. I am also having problems with vertical scrolling on the main menu screen. It just started doing this after I tried to run Sunset Riders, which also had vertical scrolling.

Hi breathsavers,
Get the latest version of vmmaker (1.3c) here: http://mame.3feetunder.com/windows-ati-crt-emudriver/ (http://mame.3feetunder.com/windows-ati-crt-emudriver/)
They made a change at some point in MAME xml so older versions of vmmaker can't read it.

Thanks for the response Calamity! Unfortunately it's still doing the same thing with the newest version. Says CRT Emudriver 1.2 found! Then says "error extracting mame.xml" and finishes. I end up with a 0kb xml file.

I have a mame.xml file that I made with RomLister, should I put that in the VMMaker folder?
-
Edit vmmaker.ini properly with the full path of the mame executable, e.g:
"c:\emu\mame\groovymame_xxx.exe"
-
I've named the mame exe "groovymame.exe" but when I put C:\mame\groovymame.exe (which is where it is), it says it can't find it :/
-
No way.

I've tried 100 times, I swear. I'll go try once more. Thanks for dealing with my dumb self.

I had file extensions hidden... n00b mistake. When it creates the XML from VMMaker, should that fix my vertical rolling problem? I get vertical rolling on the main menu and in all games I've tried.
-
Main menu of what program?
To fix vertical rolling you usually need to adjust the vertical hold or vertical sync potentiometers in your monitor.
-
Main menu of GroovyMAME. Got the scrolling fixed, it seems like I just have to adjust the v. hold for some games?
The menu screen looks like this now. Text is too small to read. Any thoughts? Also, all games seem to be running at about 75%, where would I fix that in the .ini? Thanks sooo much man.

that wouldn't make any difference..

It did because the file was named groovymame.exe.exe which is why VMMaker couldn't find it.
