Yeah, not much to say after you make a Jack-o-lantern arcade controller

Here was this year's Halloween project.  It worked shockingly well as a pumpkin carver.

I have been using that same set up for years only I took a grinder to the back side of the jigsaw blade to make it more narrow.

That is just freaking genius.  I feel stupid and humbled in the presence of such creativity.

No, I am not being sarcastic.  This board makes me feel like such an idiot sometimes.  Why didn't I think of that?!

Well, I've been reusing the same set of cheapies because it got left behind in a rental and my mother in law insisted I take it home while I was helping her clean it out.  After you fly something 3,000 miles you feel compelled to use it.  After three years of service, they fell apart halfway through the carving.

The hacksaw blade works so well I'm kind of ashamed I didn't think of it sooner.  Matt's idea looks like something you could occasionally use for something else, too.

Pretty much had the same project this year for cutting blade. Used a pex pipe crimp to hold the jigsaw blade in the slit I made in the dowel.

I used a dremel with a spiral cutting bit last time I carved a pumpkin.
It works awesome, just don't let it get away from you.

It was a skeleton hand with it's middle finger extended.  It was directed at the the guy across the street.   :lol
I did turn it around and put the side with the finger against the house on trick or treating night.
I'll see if I can find the pic.  It looked awesome.
