Hi guys.
I am starting to play around with Maximus Arcade, and I was wondering how you guys have setup all the navigation of the menues etc in MA? I have a standard 2 player 6 button setup, with 1 and 2 player, 1 coin button and I am looking to add a pause and exit button this weekend. (My bartop is still a work in progress). I still have to use the keyboard to exit etc, but I want to achieve full no keyboard reliance soon ;-). If you think I need to add any more physical buttons, please let me know.
Also I have MA starting straight away, as I have it in my startup menu. Is there a more slick way of starting it? I will only use this machine as an arcade
Also any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Nick

Hi,
Im no expert but I have set up one bartop with MA, to exit back to windows I used 2button combo (9+3) and to shutdown pc (9+4) which suits as my buttons are coloured so same as yellow/red and yellow/blue.
I did a 1ply bartop with joystick and 4 buttons then had 3 buttons for coin, 1ply and select.
I hope that makes sense lol
Also for start up you could try Instant sheller which hides a lot of windows when booting but I had problems with it as I used joytokey also in start up (lots of posts on that in here) but would eliminate keyboard.

I use a ipac2 and no extra buttons needed. :). Cleanest way to go.

If you always want to stay in MA, I use pushing Player 1 and Player 2 buttons at the same time to exit the game I'm playing and return to the MA's MAME game selection screen. You can try to set the PAUSE command to a combo press of Player 1 and Coin 1, and then you are done.
