So I finally have progressed to getting a picture on my monitor and the picture is actually really good.
My last problem is I had the screen shifted to the right causing the image to be wrapped and a black bar in the middle of the screen. I had a broken horizontal position pot on my control board, which I replaced with a new 500 Ohm pot. Now I can slightly adjust the black bar around a bit but I can't get it off the screen.
I looked at the spec and it's supposed to be a 500 ohm trim pot (the broken one also said 500 ohm).
How can I shift this black bar out of the middle of the screen and shift the image so it's sitting correctly...
Is it a sync issue? Is it that the pot needs to be a larger size perhaps?
Thanks for your help through this, it's coming together beautifully.

Hey Ed:
According to what I can see on the existing Pot and what's on page 23 of the manual found here
http://arcarc.xmission.com/PDF_Monitors/Wells%20Gardner%20K7000%20Manual.pdf (http://arcarc.xmission.com/PDF_Monitors/Wells%20Gardner%20K7000%20Manual.pdf)
Cross referenced with the H-Pos pot found on page 20 (labelled Vr1) indicates it's a 500, other entries have the K beside them so I feel confident that it's just 500 Ohm.
If I got my hands on a 1K or 2K would that be worth trying in that spot to see if it makes a larger difference?

the 1k would be
as it would not be that far out of range
i will chk my stash of control boards and let u know what i get

yes it is indeed a 500 ohm.

Now that the holidays are over, I've come back to this.
I'm stymied as I've tried a 1k and 2k ohm pot and it barely moves the picture more than an inch or two.
Does anyone have any additional ideas on what I may be looking at here?
I can provide whatever information is necessary to try to squash this problem. It sucks having this beautiful cabinet sitting unfinished because of a lame video issue.. :(

if you do not put a 500 ohm pot in there the adjustment will never work correctly.
if you need a pot i stock them.
if you need the chassis and remote board repaired i can do it.
if you are in the US email me from my website.
