Title: Wiring RGB LED Illumination Kit with PAC Drive
Post by: Soxmls35 on October 22, 2013, 05:12:24 pm
I have a RGB LED Illumination Kit for my U-Trak.   I am attempting to wire the Illumination Kit to my PAC Drive.  The Illumination kit has 5 wires.  A 5v Yellow wire. Three colored wires  Red, Blue, and Green.  Then a ground wire.   As I understand it I wire the 5v wire to the + connection on my PAC Drive.  Then the Red Blue and Green wires to the 1 2 and 3 spots.  I am not sure what I am supose to do with the ground wire.

Maybe someone will know for certain what to do with the black ground, but I'm not sure that you need to do anything with it.

Assuming that the yellow is the +5vDC Common Anode, then the R, G & B wires are the -Cathodes (Ground). So, all you should need to complete the circuit are the Yellow and the RGB wires.

Thats what I was thinking. Not sure what the ground is for then.

Also ultimarcs site says the rgb kit will plug directly into the pacdrive but the rgb has a female 4 pin connector and the pacdrive uses screwdowns. Im going to just snip off the connector but wondered why the site says a direct hookup.
