So XBone and DR3 are a big sponsor of The Walking Dead this season and they are really promoting the game. They kept showing this photo-realistic trailer for the game and your first thought is "OMFG!" until your brain kicks in and you realize that it's just a cut-scene. So every once in a while they sneak maybe 5-10 seconds of actual gameplay into the commercial and they've also did a preview of the first stage...... It looks like Dead Rising 2. The textures might be a little bit better, maybe like the pc version, but that's about it.
I know that your launch titles are often kind of crappy in the graphics department and I'm not trying to rag on the system or anything, but my point was I can't seem to find any gameplay footage for the PS4 and Xbone that actually look nextgen. Am I missing something?
If you have some shots/vids of a truly next-gen looking game in action could to post them for me? I would appreciate it.

As always, it's the software that matters, and this is a pretty good example.

You can say the same for anything that comes out for the Wii U. :lol

Umm no you can't. The Wii U's launch titles looked significantly better than the last Wii games. Therefore there is a noticeable reason to upgrade from the Wii to the Wii U.
When a Xbone game looks like a 360 title what incentive is there to upgrade?
-
Who cares how much better it looks if it plays exactly the same? Fun isn't measured in resolution.

So why is there so little interest in the wii U platform? :dunno

Because it took them 6+ months to launch the franchise titles on the Wii U. Nintendo doesn't sell hardware with hardware marketing. They sell it with Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and Pokemon.

That little nugget apparently wasn't relayed to the nation's younger generation.

That's because most of them have yet to experience fun video gaming. Their version of fun is headshotting someone from 1000 yards in a dark alley, running up to them and teabagging them while screaming "DEEZ NUTS IN YA MOOOOOOOOOOUTH" over a headset to someone they'll never meet.

One doesn't even need the best graphics to partake in that enjoyment!

Well that's what I was getting at actually. 99% of the launch titles for the xb1 and ps4 are sequels that will also be released on the 360 and ps3 so obviously the gameplay isn't anything new. All that's left are the graphics, so if they aren't any different what is the point of upgrading... at least yet?

There isn't one. There wasn't one last time, either, unless you really wanted a Bluray or HD DVD player.
