I have been banging my head for months trying to decide colors, theme and name. Anyone have any ideas they have floating around they dont plan on using?

Who cares? If you like an idea, tweak it a little and go. None of your friends will care if "someone on the internet" has a similar cabinet.

The idea of someone else having a similar art dont bother me. Just no one wants to share there files. Just got a house, so $ is tight. Daughter's bday party is next weekend. She was hoping it would be done in time. Otherwise, I would hire someone.

Go with what floats your boat, theme it to a fav movie or game.

Go with what floats your boat, theme it to something arcade-related.

Type of cabinet?
Who is it for?
Unused ideas:
Polybius
Shmuptopia (I did name a gamelist this)
Game Central Station (with or without Wreck It Ralph references)
unrelated:
Light woodgrain cab with orange t-molding like Rally-X
I'll come up with more ideas when the questions are answered.....

I second the Polybius cab... another one that I've always wanted to build (but probably will never get around to) is a Companion Cube cocktail cabinet.

The cab on the left is the one I am talking about. Game Vault was my original cab. ( On the right) I decided to swap the 27" lcd for a 27" crt and turn it vertical. I wanted to play the fighters on ps3 and 360. So I needed a different control panel, so might as well build a different cab. The cab is for family, friends and me to play.

i've used this wreck it ralph marquee on a couple of cabs...
the artwork was on deviant art. lots of good stuff there.

i've always like fictitious tribute artwork over relicas.
choose a superhero or even a sporting franchise.
-
Since you intend to play modern fighters on it, make it modern fighter themed.
There is probably some high res artwork out there for King of Fighters XIII since it just came out on Steam. (kinda sucks that the colors are similar to what you already have)
Same goes for Mortal Kombat Komplete & SSFIVAE.
If you don't want it to be game specific, there are some multi-fighting game wallpapers out there:

You could call it Fight! or Flawless Victory or Brian Wins! or Throwdown or name it after any late 80's fighting movie. :afro:
The current fighting games all seem to make use of fire in the artwork.
EDIT: The base should be bright white and the top part black. (the reverse would make it look like a golf game)

Interesting. I've more partial to artwork that looks like it's arcade authentic.
-
