Hi,
first of all, sorry for my english.
I need advices for a PCI (not PCIe) low profile card fully compatible with CRT_EmuDriver
I found this ATI Radeon 7000 64M

Out of curiosity I also found an HD 5450 with the same format

There's nothing in the middle?
Some other questions
How it works for these old cards (the 7000) with a "newer" hw like a 2008/09 c2d?
It would be recognized without issues?
last (probably OT): I'd like to use it with others emulators up to PS1 maybe n64.
am I safe with a good cpu and an old card?
Thanks in advance :)

Yes newer hardware works fine with older video cards, as long as the motherboard has a PCI slot!
Calamity's crt_drivers do not support the newer cards though (HD5000 onwards)
So an older card is better from that viewpoint.
But here's a list of supported cards!
Catalyst 6.5: ATI Radeon 7000, 7200, 7500, 8500, 9000, 9100,
9200, 9250, 9500, 9550, 9600, 9700,
9800, X300, X550, X600, X700, X800,
X850, X1300, X1600, X1800, X1900,
X1950, ArcadeVGA 9200/9250, etc.
Catalyst 9.3: ATI Radeon 9500, 9550, 9600, 9700, 9800, X300,
X550, X600, X700, X740, X800, X850,
X1050, X1200, X1300, X1550, X1600,
X1650, X1800, X1900, X1950, HD 2350,
HD 2400, HD 2600, HD 2900, HD 3200,
HD 3300, HD 3400, HD 3410, HD 3450,
HD 3550, HD 3570, HD 3600, HD 3610,
HD 3690, HD 3730, HD 3750, HD 3800,
HD 3830, HD 3850, HD 3870, HD 4230,
HD 4250, HD 4350, HD 4550, HD 4570,
HD 4580, HD 4650, HD 4670, HD 4730,
HD 4750, HD 4800, HD 4850, HD 4870,
HD 4890, etc.
generally the newer the better though..
personally I think you should be looking at a newer PCIe video card..
what is the hardware that you already have that you will be using?
-
yes, I know that list
the hardware is a lenovo slim pc that I can take from a friend for few bucks
other than that I have little room under my Sony pvm.
if you know a cheap small solution with a pcie card, your welcome :)

This is what I use:

I am not affiliated with the seller just posting as an example.
Great for MAME but probably not enough for modern 3D games.

Model number or list of parts inside?
I would be able to find something cheap and useful where I am, but finding something suitable for you, wherever you are would not be possible sorry.
On the internet advise is usually all we can do.. you must do the hardware yourself...

He needs a PCI card, not PCIe. At least according to the first post.

I didn't mean to be rude, I'm sorry :)
So I think I'll go for the small lenovo C2D 2.8/3.0 Ghz with ati 7000 PCI or 9250
but I'm little worried about PS1/N64 emulation

not the cheapest one
I think it's a "rebranded" model
Are there any known problems with this?
thanks
Edit: should be the box

Hi Oro,
My understanding is that card should work, just like its 9200 AGP counterparts do. But you can never be sure.
