Title: On a quest for a component-in 27" CRT
Post by: Tzakiel on September 25, 2013, 06:09:54 pm
I'm looking for a component-input TV which is CRT (curved or flat OK) and will fit into a UAII cabinet (outer dimensions less than 27") without having to take the casing off. I am scared of killing myself with shocks or imploding the tube.  I know there are Sony WEGA crts with great screens and component in, but they have speakers on left and right and make the 27" very wide.

Need the component so I can get true scanlines with soft15khz and powerstrip.

Does such a beast exist? Anyone know a model # to check out?

As I replied in the other thread, the Sharp 27uf-500 is less than 26" wide. However, it still may be too deep.

In particular I have one of the 27" Sansui TVs (really it is more like 26") that will go in a build eventually.
