Title: Good Arcade Console Games??

Two part question...

What are your favorite console 2d fighters to use with arcade controls?

Besides 2d fighters, what are some other good games to use with arcade controls?

My favorite 2d fighters:
Street Fighter Alpha 3 (DC)
Marvel vs Capcom 2 (Xbox)
Project Justice (DC)

Other good games:
Metal Slug X (PS)

any 2d (or even 2.5d fighters will do fine with arcade ctrls...)

I play all my fighters with the arcade stick...

like Soul Calibur... SC2.... DOA....

I think no fighters use analog...
they're all 8 way....
so.. they're all fine with arcade controls...

I'm never really a console person....

All fighters are good with arcade controls.  Some platformers can be good as well, but I would steer clear of racing games and sports games (Except perhaps the Midway Xtreme sports, like NFL blitz, NHL Hitz, Slugfest, etc.).

   well actually Bangai-o is more for the controller, but its like robotron in terms of the controls, you fly around and shoot all around.  SOOOOO goood, get it!!

I've tried playing Bangai-o on my control panel with dual joysticks (because I'm such a robotron freak).  Worked great until I realized I had to take one hand off a joystick to hit the smart bomb button (which you do at the last second before you get hit for maximum blast/points).

While I've never actually played it on an arcade cab, I'd be willing to bet that Contra III is the bomb!

Contra III has to be one of the hardest games I've ever played, even with the 30 lives cheat code!

Same here:  Even with two players!

Now that I think about it... Playing with another person might make it harder sometimes!

I thought of another good arcade-ish console game:  Super Punch-Out!!.  In fact, if I ever get an SNES controller hack done, I'd like that to be the first game I play.
