Title: Any way to use original arcade monitor with Windows 7?
Post by: breathsavers on September 17, 2013, 12:48:19 pm
I've been trying to get Windows XP to install on my PC for about a week now, can't seem to get past this weird BSOD error. So my question is... any way I can make my monitor output 15khz with Windows 7? I was trying to get XP so I could use Soft-15khz with the custom ATI drivers, but seems that's not happening.

I tried just hooking up my PC to the monitor through my JPAC, got a fuzzy/blurry screen. I'm assuming because of the refresh rate. Any ideas?? I'm using a Gateway DX4200-09 with Radeon HD 3200 graphics, AMD Phenom X4 9150e quad core processor. Thanks in advance.

If you are getting the BSOD whilst installing whindows it is because it does not have the raid drivers for your motherboard.  If you go into the Bios and look for Raid setting or something similar you will be able to set it to AHCI to Legacy or IDE. This will get you round that issue when installing.  The only other way is to add the relevant drivers when prompted with F6 if I remember correctly.
