So with the release of Grand Theft Auto tomorrow - this thought cross my mind. Has anyone ever tried getting a GTA game running on their driving cabinet? You'd have to have a split control thing going on - gamepad for "out of car" mode, then steering wheel for in car.
I know Just Cause 2 has separate control options configurable for both in car / on foot / in plane modes... but I've never looked at the PC version of GTA games (I have of the older ones for my PS2)
A large part of the game is driving so I'd think getting a wheel going would add to the experience? Or am I just nuts? :afro:
edit: Found a note http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/952150-grand-theft-auto-iv/47926329 (http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/952150-grand-theft-auto-iv/47926329) that states wheel support was patched into GTA IV, so I'm guessing GTA V will support it as well. That probably means the GTA III series won't have support - but that's never stopped Logitech profile + X360CE users before... :D

It's not comfortable at all. and complicated with all the buttons needed to control them.
I myself tried it :banghead:

they driving physics are much better in GTAV, but teh rest, meh. too much non driving to warrant the effort.

Bummer. Thanks for the responses. Shame - but GTA V is supposed to be huge.
