Hi Guys,
First thing is to say thanks for such a great product. I'm using the latest arch linux release of GroovyArcade and all I can say is wow, it's great.
Everything runs at great frame rates and looks really authentic on my home built cabinet.
Basically the issue is that on mouse / trackball games like Missile Command and Snake Pit (One of my personal favorites) the trackball moves the cursor / character but they seem restricted to a small invisible square in the middle of the screen. I'm using the opti-pac from ultimar to interface my trackball with my board and would have thought that this is a fairly common setup so I'm really hoping this is a quick fix. Possibly a calibration issue or a setting I'm missing somewhere.
I've tried my best to trouble shoot this but have had no joy, apologies if this has been asked before and is a simple one to fix.
Really hope someone can chime in today with a fix so I can complete my cabinet tonight and get some snaking in :)
P.s Is there any plans to update wah-cade as list generation on the newer Mame versions seems to not work and the filters seem broken. Minor issue that I have found work arounds for but just wondering if Wah-Cade is even still a live project.

I'm sorry but I don't have a fix for your problem. I'm quite sure this has been asked before, either here or on the Google's code site, but unfortunately I think it didn't get solved.
However, now that you ask, I'm thinking it could be due to the way we're switching video modes in GroovyMAME, possibly confusing SDL or something. I'd try to force GroovyMAME to run at the desktop's resolution for those specific games. An easy way to do this is using "monitor lcd" in a specific ini. It will ruin the pixel perfect feeling by running on an interlaced mode, but may it could help with the trackball.
Thanks for reporting the Wah-Cade issue. We'll see what can be done for next releases.

Thanks for letting me know Calamity... I appreciate that at least, it means I won't be trying for the next few days to find a setting or configuration combination that would get it working.
It's a real shame that the mouse / trackball does not work but overall like I said before the project and what you guys put out is first class.
I'll be keeping my eyes on this thread and any furture news hoping to see if you guys ever manage to find a solution to this.
Like you said in your comment the switching video modes kinda makes sense. It's almost that mouse does not realise the dimensions of the screen.
