Hiya guys,
Please pardon my ignorance, l've not messed with monitors much and want to make sure l'm dong things right.
I have a jamma cab that has a 25'' monitor in it that went bad. The monitor that was in it was a u2000 chassis.
The power connector coming off of the power supply was/is a 3 prong jack right next to the flyback as shown here: http://www.web-nine.com/albums/arcade/u2000.jpg (http://www.web-nine.com/albums/arcade/u2000.jpg) (labeled where it says "fuse f101".
I have a new chassis, which is a K7000 with a completely different power connection. My question is, how would l go about connecting the two? Is the extra 3rd wire coming from my power supply a ground? Is there an adapter that would help me convert my power supply molex connector to work with the k7000?

Well, you're gonna run into some problems.
First, the U2000 does not need an isolation transformer. So it's very possible your cabinet does not have one.
Second, the K7000 REQUIRES the use of an isolation transformer to power it or else it will get damaged. So you are going to have to install and connect an isolation transformer first then rig up connectors for the power connections.

First off, thank you for your response. I've noticed you are always one of the first people on the forum here that offer your guidance and expertise. Your help is extremely appertained!
What you said makes sense, l have no idea if my cabinet has an isolation transformer or not. It's a stock Dynamo HS-5 l believe. The game boots up with the k7000 chassis and some crude wiring to the chassis, however it's scrambled (if l keep powering off/on eventually it will boot up and run fine).
So l guess my first question is, does the above mean my cabinet does have an isolation transformer and there's some other problem with the k7000 chassis?
If not, can you send me a link to a product that l could purchase to do the trick here?

Dynamo made so many different cabinets I could never keep track of what cabinet was what or what came with each cabinet.
It's very possible yours may have an isolation transformer inside it or if it did, someone may have removed it at some point.
Pictures of the cabinet interior would help.
