Title: Nintendo cabinet dissasembly? I heard they were the easiest cabs to take apart?
Post by: marioxb on September 09, 2013, 02:06:57 pm
So I have a Donkey Kong cabinet I would like to take apart and replace/ repair some pieces. Is there a guide how to do this or is it even possible?

I would sand all of the paint off to see if there is any patching underneath that was used to hide or cover the screw/nail heads, if there is any bondo then you would be able to pin point where it is by looking on both sides of the wood.  Who knows how many times those games were patched...if at all.

Just be careful and I really dont think there is any manuals out there.

Thanks. I will give that a try. I saw someone posted somewhere that they were going to expand the width to fit a Mario Bros widebody panel (forget where I saw that) and I am wanting to do something similar.
