I have a tankstick and have been having a problem with the first 4 buttons. I am sure you already know the first four buttons are mapped to CTRL, ALT, Space and Shift. For most games it's not a problem but some PC games (driving games in particular) where I am holding a button in seem to cause the problem. I recenty moved the button which is mapped to Shift to a different location where it would not be held and now I have the problem with ctrl. I realized I had the problem because I hit a button that was assigned to Escape and the windows menu popped up :banghead: I know I can switch to a different mode and re-assign the buttons but would have to set the mode EVERYTIME I rebooted the arcade.
Should I just replace the internal board with an I-Pac2?
Does anyone else have their keys mapped to CTRL, ALT, Space and Shift and does it cause a problem?
On a side note, just this weekend I am having a problem with the left and right mouse buttons. I press of left or right button and it triggers both buttons being pressed at the same time. This was verified with the Passmark keyboard utility.
Thanks,
Scott

google how to disable hotkeys in your version of windows. That will help with a lot of the issues.
I remapped my tankstick to not use those buttons since some other emulators can't use them.
It's a bit of a pain with the tankstick, as you have to press the button on the back twice to load the alternate settings each time the computer is started up.

Thanks for the reply.
I don't have sticky or filter keys on but all I can find about disabling hotkeys has to do with the WIN key. Is there something else that pertains to the CTRL or SHIFT keys or is this what you meant? I am using Win7 64bit BTW.
I was using the 2nd mode on the tankstick before but my wife and kid kept forgetting to push the back button. I am using Hyperspin and am using AHK to remap those buttons for every emulator but just recently when playing PC games and holding in SHIFT or ALT sometimes causes a problem. The button still works in the game as remapped but even though ALT is remapped to T in the game I assume Windows still sees the button as being ALT and held down.
Did you have any of these issues before you re-programed the tankstick?
What I may do is temporarily re-program the tankstick and if I don't have any of these problems I may buy the I-PAC2 so the "mode" button on the back will not be an issue.
What I don't want to do is waste money on the ipac and have the same problems.
