Ok... First off, I admit I have never been strong in the wiring department... I know it is simple... two sets of wires on a control panel. A common Daisey chained wire and the switch line which runs to the breakout board (I am using a KE72T with iox36) My question is... What do I connect my common wire to? Is it the ground screw down on the iox36?
If it is, any ideas as to why I receive an keyboard failure notice when I do? I actually ran two commons to help narrow down wiring issues.
THanks!!!

yes that is what you do. Make sure you pay attention to ALL of the ide cables so that pin 1 is correctly oriented.
To get rid of the keyboard failures, enter the your computer's bios and set the option "HALT ON" to "NEVER" or a similar option.
