Hey Everyone,
I'm trying to find a smoke colored 3" trackball. I guess it could be a translucent black as well. I'd like something that will match the Siemitsu P-14-KN smoke buttons and the LS-58 smoke colored controls. I have a 3" happ trackball setup so I just need the ball (I'll but the whole thing if I have to). I intend to put a super bright rgb led on it so it needs to be able to glow like the joysticks/buttons.
Can one of you awesome forum folks point me in the right direction here? Do you have one, know where I can get one? Can you offer any assistance? Thoughts or ideas on how to get something close to a matching smoke trackball?

Your best bet is a clear at some angles it gives the illusion of being black or smoke. Your lighting will look good too.

I don't think a smoked translucent ball was ever made, as it would sorta defeat the purpose of lighting it.
Also if you go clear you are going to have to modify how you place the lighting, if you place it at the bottom it doesn't light up very well and you will have the led glaring into your eye as its magnified through the clear ball.
I have a mod kit, that will do just that, you can install it yourself or send my your t-ball and i can install it for you. It's RGB and has a controller switch, or i can do a music reactive.
If not this route your only other option is custom, you'll have to ask around a few plactics manuf's to see if they will make one for you. Will probably be expensive.....

I have generics for $35.00 shipped, same quality just not HAPPs. I have a few in my rigs, and i see no real differentation between the 2.

That clear one doesn't look to bad. Probably looks good with the LED on or off huh.
I'd like to look around some more for even semi smoke would be ok. Like these balltops but 3"

I found some 3" acrylic contact juggling ball distributors but even they don't have translucent black. I just want it all to match! haha. I may be SOL. Do you know the name of a couple MFGs that I could ask about translucent black/smoke colored trackballs?

Good luck with that, no not off hand....
There was some guy offering custom balltop and was able to put any graphic you wanted inside of the balltop, search the forum for the thread. I tried but could locate...
