Weakest Link JPM help needed please
Hello.
I am new here and will be totally honest in that I've no idea what I'm talking about technically but I'll do my best to explain!
For my birthday I was bought a JPM Weakest Link machine and I've had it a few weeks and really enjoy playing it ( although its impossible to win the jackpot! )
I then purchased a disk and dongle that contained 6 games ..... Millionaire, bowling quiz, battleship quiz etc.
I loaded the disc in last night and it took about an hour to load then an alarm went off on the machine to inform me memory full and no games could be played. I switched it off and replaced the disc with The Weakest Link disc and dongle and the same thing happened...it loaded 3 games then said no games can be played, memory full.
Needless to say i have no idea what to do to clear the other games off and use the machine just to play what it's designed for, Weakest Link!
Has anyone got any idea what I have to do to be able to play my machine again?
As I said, I've no technical knowledge whatsoever so please be gentle with me!!
Thank you so much for any help.

many years ago when we did the updates from original wwtbam to gamebox we had to double the size of the ram

Thanks for the info Grantspain but I have no idea how to do that I'm afraid! I'm not very computer minded let alone know about these games machines!

you need to put an extra ram stick on the motherboard, you need to match the ram type you already have.it will be something like pc133 64mb.
remove your old ram stick and google the part number on it and then it will tell you all you need to know

Thank you very much for the information, I'll have a look at it probably over the weekend and let you know! Thanks again

Hi, sorry to bother you again but the memory has been trebled and now says no game keys found!! I'm totally lost now!
My friend who's a computer expert did the I stallion for me so I know that's done correctly!
Any thoughts please.
Thank you so much
Kind regards

i can't offer much, as i know nothing of this machine.
but you might have to try removing and re inserting the memory sticks, cables, plugs, everything removable. sounds like somethings not connected properly.
also you may have to try re-installing the software again.

Hi, thanks but done all that and more!
I need to get into the main menu on the computer ( F8 ) but it just won't play ball!
Thanks again

Does anyone agree it needs a new hard drive then it'll work?
It's so annoying having it here and not being able to use it!
Thanks for any thoughts!

sounds like it's not reading the parallel port
-
Thank you, I'll look into that.

that error is to do with it reading the security dongle-as each game loads it will read the dongle to make sure the game is activated-i am sure at the moment you hdd has all the game you want but the security key is not the correct one
these are really old games,i have worked on few recently for someone and i do have some software here
i also have a clear down disk but for the life me i cannot remember what that was used for-i will have to ask my old trainee tomorrow when i see him(i used to make him do all that sort of work)

Hello, sounds as though you are on to something! Thank you so much.
All I want is the weakest link to play, I'm not bothered with the other games.
I thought I'd need to clear the hard drive but can't access it.
Any help you can offer would be fantastic.
Feel free to email me Mmike110@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks again

Any luck on that clear down disk at all?
Many thanks
-
yeah spoke to my old mate about this and he told me that disk was used to clear unused games from the hdd
happy to send you a copy if you cover cost of postage and a disk-not gonna be much tbh
-
That would be fantastic
If you email me mmike110@hotmail.co.uk we can sort that out.
Thanks so much, really appreciated

Just want to thank GRANTSPAIN for his anazing help in getting this machine more or less up and running again.
It's rare in my opinion to find people who go over and beyond to help out a stranger!
Without him I'd of scrapped the JPM machine but now it's perfectly playable and it's all down to him.
Thank you grant so much. Very much appreciated.
Kindest regards
Mike
