Title: Mortal Kombat Komplete 4:3 full screen?

I recently installed MKK on my Mame machine and was disappointed that it did not have a 4:3 option.  I am running it on a 27" Betson Multisync monitor and it is letter boxed. (see pic below vs. Video).

However, I did see it running on an Xbox 360 4:3 and full screen.  Since it's a PC port from the console version, is there a hack somewhere that allows 4:4 full screen?  (see video below on a 40" plasma 4:3 monitor).

What resolution are you running Windows in?  Sometimes games key off of resolution's available to windows.

MKK shows the following available on mine:  (on my 19" 16:10 monitor)

1280x768 (5:3)
1280x800 (8:5)
1440x900 (8:5)
1600x1024 (5:4)
1680x1050 (8:5)

None of which are 4:3

Its entirely possible the XBOX is going some re sampling to get that 4:3 mode.

Looks like you might be able to hack the config file and manually enter the resolution.

My resolution is fine at 800 x 600, don't have a problem there, but it's letterboxed.  (see my pic on my arcade machine above).  The video on the Xbox fills the entire screen in the video.

I don't think changing the resolution will help.  I need to see if there is an aspect ratio setting somewhere.

The Xbox has a setting to switch the display to 4:3. It must adjust the game to match the resolution without letter boxing it.

The 4:3 is a system level XBox 360 thing - not the game itself.  So basically - if you really want MKK in 4:3 mode, either buy an XBox 360, or buy a new montior.
