Title: Cabinet Power Issues
Post by: AgentTalon on August 26, 2013, 05:25:11 pm
Hi all,

I have been having an issue with my cabinet for some time now and have finally found the time to really dig in and fix it but I need your advice.  I'm working with a Capcom CPS2 system and my issue is power related.  The cabinet will power up fine and everything works great until it randomly powers off.  Most of the time I can flick the on/off switch and it boots right back up but from time to time I need to actually smack the cabinet next the switch to get it to power up.  I'm thinking it might be a short but I'm new to this whole deal so I'm not sure.  Any ideas?

Thanks

Check your power supply to make sure it is supplying 5V under load.   Adjust if required.

Perhaps replace the Jamma cable?  They are relatively cheap nowadays.
