Title: Software Scanlines filter for computer?
Post by: kuehnau on August 25, 2013, 11:48:00 pm: Hey, does anyone know if there's a software equivalent to being able to add scanlines to your display?

You know how there's emulators that have a software filter that allows you to add scanlines to the game's video? Well I'd like that... For everything I do on my desktop, games, whatever.

Here's the deal, I love how scanlines look and while playing castle crashers I realized it'd look even better with scanlines.

I know there's a little device that allows you to add scanlines, but they don't have them in HDMI form, which is what I use.

Any ideas?

Sorry, I already KNOW about the hardware and I am not paying almost $100.00 for it. I have a good enough processor where it shouldn't hamper it too much. I mean I can run TriDef 3D, which forced 3D emulation for games that weren't built for it and it runs great.

Post by: Malenko on August 26, 2013, 08:35:22 am: depending on the resolution you run, craftymech sells mini SLGs for around$25 shipped. I know you said software,but Ive bought 2 SLGs from him and they are great, the new ones even come with an on off switch.

Well if you read, I want to run standard PC games and the like with it. Does HyperSpin allow for that?

Thanks, but the res I run isn't compatible with that.
