is there a way to use the coin slot as a button for credits?
-
It comes down to your imagination and the parts you have lying around. Method I came up with recently in the pic.
good day.

so i have four buttons 2 will b in use for coin 1 coin 2 any sugestions for the other two?

I remember Javeryh doing this on Bella's arcade a few years ago ... I always thought it was a great idea and something I plan to install in mine.

I assume that by "4 buttons", you mean that you have two coin mech switches and two reject switches shown above.
Wire the coin mech (red) and reject switch (green) in parallel so you can either drop in a token or press the reject switch to coin up.
Encoder ______/_________ Ground

|___/____|
Left mech and reject for P1.
Right mech and reject for P2.

I have mine rigged up to where it still accepts and rejects coins, but the reject can be used for credits as well.
-
If you have one with a slam switch you can also wire that up to give credits, so you can just bang the door like Fonzie to credit it up.

Ouch! On both counts!!

I wired my coin slot by taking the output wires from the working devices and plugging them into my iPac. No hardware hack needed. But I do enjoy your hack.
