but some times I like a change and build stuff like this..

I even had a go at sculpting lol

Who is she? ;)
But anyway. I have always wanted to build a cab. So here goes!
Bought a coin door off a popular auction site for £30 came with a C120 coin mech, which was nice. What wasn't nice was the rust. It was covered in it. And a lot of the paint had lifted. So I Stripped it with paint stripper. Which kinda worked. The paint was very resistant and took a lot of wire brushing, sanding and scraping to get back to bare metal.
This is where I am at

More soon :)

Hi, what kind of paint stripper did you use? Bought a used coin door myself, and its rusty as hell.

Your model building skills look pretty tight, if you carry this level of attention over to your Taito style build, it should turn out great...good luck

Thanks for the kind comments guys.
We have progress!

All finished.. The flash makes it look a bit patchy but I'm quite happy with the finish overall...
I'm off to buy some wood, screws and paint. update next week probably.
Cheers

Hi. I used Nitromors. It's probably as aggressive as you can get. It's evil stuff btw. Don't get any on your skin! (google it). I also used Kurust on the rust I couldnt wire brush off before I primed and painted it. I bought kurust from an auto shop. It's white. You brush it on the rust and the rust turns black.

Thanks, I got the paint off, started to sand the rust but it will take ages so im going for some rust remover

Beautiful cats! Love the models, too. I'd like to build some WWII era planes one of these days. I look forward to seeing you progress on the cabinet.
