Title: I lost my menu Key!

It seems my kids have managed to remap the tab key to nothing in advancemame, and now I can't get into the main menu.

Is there any way to get the key back without blowing away all of my carefully tweaked settings?

(I am aware that I should have had a backup of advmame.rc.....)

Short of deleting the default.cfg file, probably not. :(

What you could try is plugging in a keyboard and try hitting each key one at a time and maybe you'll get lucky and find the one they remapped it to (assuming they didn't remap it as a combination of a few keys.)

To avoid this in the future, use ctrlr files.  I have a hack on my site (No Name Mame *might* have it) where you can disable the input in the tab menu then.

right now though you will probably have to delete default.cfg.

I'm almost 100% positive No Name does include that hack.

Update, all fixed.

I originally thought the offending setting was in advmame.rc.... I deleted default.cfg and everything is fine...  I had not modified it at all yet.
