Those don't look too difficult at all. Except for one thing.... what is the light smoke/fire i can see over some of the lettering? Is that just compression from the JPG?

If I spend another 15 minutes on this I'll have it perfect I think. I need a couple of things I only have on my office computer. LMK what you think :)

there is a vector capcom vs snk available somewhere on the net (hint caga is your friend)
OK OK it is not what your're looking for.
there is also a vector capcom logo on the vector library.
and regarding the difficulty, the short answer is "no it's not too difficult to trace", the long answer is as jakobud mentioned: "the smooking effect is quite difficult to produce" and last but not least I can't do it as I don't no haow to produce a good "color gradient ". but I'm ready to learn ;)

I'll do this for you if no one else offers. Shouldn't take long.

hey, anyone know how to successfully reproduce that gradient in illustrator (ie. what tools w/ settings)? i tried something like that --BINGO! Either that, or I was attempting to say "before" but it was too many letters to type--, and it ended up like colorful zebra crap...

Well, that was 20 minutes I'll never get back, lol. Sorry but that has to be one of the hardest image hosting webpages I've seen...still cant figure out how to get a URL for the pics I uploaded so I can post the pics in a thread, which is what I need to do. Oh well....nevermind.
I uploaded the .ai file to the mametrix site. Let me know if you need a certain format and what size you need it to be.

Yeah its easy. When you select the 'fill' color for something, just select one of the gradients, then edit the gradient swatch (by double clicking on it or something) and then you set the gradient colors. Just have two colors. On the left side choose one color and on the right side choose another color. That will make a nice smooth transition from one color to the next. Then in the options for the gradient (same window as where you choose line weight/size), you can choose the orientation of the gradient (telling it to run up and down, or left and right or at any angle you want).
